John grew up in Washington DC, and spent most of his career in the greater Boston area before moving to Charleston in 2014.

John is a graduate of Georgetown University, where he majored in accounting. During his career in public accounting as the managing partner for a large regional CPA firm, he oversaw the firm’s consulting practice. Licensed as a CPA, Certified Financial Planner, and licensed Real Estate broker, John oversaw a practice that was involved in all phases of real estate.

John is a history buff and was actively involved in historic preservation in “The Whaling City.” That interest in history and historic preservation continued upon his arrival in Charleston, where he became licensed as a Tour Guide in the City, and was featured in a travel magazine feature on things to do in Charleston.

John has been involved in civic activities throughout his professional life, including serving as Chairman of the Board of St. Luke's Hospital, where he was instrumental in successfully merging two other hospitals into SouthCoast Hospital System. John was also recognized as a “Person of the Year,” awarded by the New Bedford Chamber of Commerce.

John's extensive background at a CPA firm with a strong focus on real estate transactions has proven to be invaluable when it comes to facilitating negotiations for his buyers and sellers. Leveraging his wealth of knowledge in finance, consulting, Charleston's rich history, and the intricacies of the real estate market, John consistently delivers a seamless and tailored experience for his clients.

John lives near Liberty Square in downtown Charleston with his wife Mary and his wonder dog George. John enjoys photography, travel, and, of course, absorbing historic Charleston.
