Get to Know Me

A seventh-generation Charlestonian and the third generation in an esteemed Charleston real estate family, John has a deep knowledge of the trends and traditions of the historic neighborhoods, with expertise in downtown sales, renovation, restoration, and conversion investment properties.
 
John is an avid outdoor enthusiast, owner of his own country property, and is considered the land and country property specialist at Handsome Properties. John volunteers and donates to Lowcountry Land Trust, a land conservation non-profit dedicated to preserving and protecting ecologically, agriculturally, and historically significant lands in and around the Lowcountry.
 
John earned his undergraduate degree in History and French from the College of Charleston and the Université Catholique de l'Ouest in Angers, France. He then completed his master's degree in International Business from the University of South Carolina and the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce in Paris, specializing in marketing and negotiations. After working throughout France and Belgium, John returned home in 2003 to start his real estate career.
 
Drawing both from his business acumen and a distinct love of the Lowcountry, John offers his clients a savvy insider's perspective on Charleston real estate. In his free time, John takes advantage of much of what Charleston and its environs have to offer, including surfing, fishing, hunting, and boating, as well as cooking with local ingredients.
