The establishment is a reflection of family history, cultural tradition, and a love for Italian American food. The Scotto family already has locations in Nashville and Franklin, TN. Now the family has officially stepped into South Carolina, bringing their brand of Brooklyn Italian warmth to a city we call Home. Pelato is located at 1085 Morrison Drive, and it's already become one of the most talked-about new restaurants in the Holy City. Small plates, Big taste

The driving force behind the concept is Theresa Scotto, a hospitality and culinary expert who grew up cooking alongside her mother in Brooklyn. The recipes showcased on their menu have been in the Scotto family for decades, and it shows. On the menu, you'll find a curated assortment of small, shareable plates designed to be passed around the table, in a tapas-style format. It's the kind of dining experience that turns strangers into friends and friends into family. Every dish earns raving reviews, and there's not a bad choice in the mix
