The helicopter used for the tours is very nice; it fits 4 people, has large windows for optimal viewing, and includes comfortable leather, padded seats. The pilots are very personable, yet professional and knowledgeable as well.
During a 30 minute tour, the helicopter smoothly glides through the air reaching the perfect height for spectacular views of the Low Country; the homes on the battery, the church steeples, and the beautiful blue ocean.
It flies over downtown, the surrounding islands, and right past the Ravanel bridge. It is truly a unique and memorable experience to see all of Charleston in such a way. Tours are available during the day or at sunset. Highly recommended for a surprise birthday or anniversary gift.
