The Lowcountry Land Trust has been preserving South Carolina’s land and waterways since its founding in 1986. Their conservation success has protected more than 165,000 acres, mainly through conservation easements.
These easements, by agreement of the landowner and Land Trust, promise to protect the land for future generations to come. The Lowcountry Land Trust Clay Shoot is one of the ways the non-profit garners community support and education for residents of the Lowcountry.
Each Fall, the Lowcountry Land Trust hosts its annual Sporting Clays Shoot fundraiser highlighting its conservation efforts and the scenic landscape of Charleston and the entire Lowcountry.
This year’s Lowcountry Land Trust Clay Shoot event was on the grounds of the Brosnan Forest, a private property spanning over 13,000 acres that are protected through a conservation easement held by the Lowcountry Land Trust.
Shooters both novice and experienced venture through a professionally curated course complete with over 100 targets at 14 stations. Handsome Properties was proud to sponsor a station and support the conservation successes upheld by the Lowcountry Land Trust.
