  1. First on our list is the Lowcountry Jazz Festival September 1st & 2nd at Charleston’s famed Gaillard Center. This festival features Grammy award winning artists from around the world at one of the most beautiful and historic venues in Charleston. A great way to groove into the holiday weekend!
  2. Next on our list is a Charleston Riverdogs game! Cheer on the Riverdogs playing West Virginia at Joe Riley Ballpark Friday-Sunday. This is a family friendly event and is perfect for kids and adults alike.
  3. Any time of the year, one of the best things about Charleston is our award winning restaurants. Take advantage of Charleston’s booming food scene at one of the many rooftop restaurants downtown, such as Stars or The Watch.
  4. Labor Day weekend is always a hot one here in Charleston, cool off by kayaking or paddle boarding through one of the many beautiful creeks and waterways of Charleston and its surrounding islands. We love surfing on Folly Beach or paddling in Mount Pleasant’s Shem Creek.
  5. Spend your holiday getting acquainted with the local art scene. Celebrate our vibrant urban culture by visiting the Gibbes Museum of Art, Redux Contemporary Arts Center, or any of our local art galleries scattered throughout the peninsula.
