Handsome Properties in the Press – Summer 2018

Handsome Properties August 1, 2018

We’ve had a busy summer at Handsome Properties! In July alone, our listings have been featured in Southern Living, CNBC, and Quest Magazine, just to name a few! Other publications that our listings are frequently featured in are Charleston Magazine, Post & Courier, South of Broad Living, and the Local Palate.

Southern Living featured two of our most luxurious listings; 15 Orange Street and 47 South Battery. Designed by Randolph Martz, 15 Orange Street is a hidden gem in the South of Broad neighborhood, on a quiet street. This property features soaring ceilings, a unique octagonal drawing room, and beautiful wood floors. This home, built in 2002, also features double piazzas, an elevator, and a long gated driveway.

Although 15 Orange Street was recently built, it was designed with old world charm to blend in with its surroundings. 47 South Battery, on the other hand, was built in 1886 with one of the best locations on the peninsula! This home features gorgeous Ashley River views from every floor, as well as high ceilings with beautiful moldings, a large foyer with views of the pool, while an elegant dining room opens to the piazza.

32 Legare Street, also known as the Sword Gate House, was featured on CNBC’s Power Lunch. This elegant estate of over 17,000 square feet includes 9 bedrooms, 13 full and 3 half baths, and is one of the most impressive and historically significant homes in Charleston.

This home was also once owned by Abraham Lincoln’s granddaughter. The finest team of craftsmen, contractors, landscape architects, and an internationally known designer have restored this beautiful home over a span of several years, blending the best of historic architecture and state-of-the-art technology.

In this month’s issue of Quest Magazine, 5 of our listings were featured including 32 Legare Street, 104 Murray Boulevard, 165 Flyway Drive, 19 Gadsden Street and 128 ½ Bull Street. These last two properties offer a small glimpse into our new sister company, Handsome Homes, a full-service luxury Property Management company.

Offering services for renters and homeowners alike, Handsome Homes connects prospective tenants with their ideal residence on the Charleston Peninsula. For property owners, Handsome Homes provides a versatile portfolio of services that include leasing, inspection and home and condo management.
