Sample These Outdoor Activities in Charleston as You Look for Homes

Handsome Properties April 1, 2020

Although Charleston, South Carolina is known for our beautiful beaches, homebuyers are attracted to the area by many more additional outdoor activities that make Charleston unique.

The Sullivan's Island Nature Trail is located alongside the beach and is the perfect place for a casual stroll or morning birdwatching. Along the trail, there are multiple observation decks and benches to provide an amazing view of the forest wetlands, vegetated dunes, and the harbor. The trail also provides access to the Sullivans Island beach at station 16.

Waterfront Park provides a beautiful view of the water, includes a jungle gym, as well as a view of the Ravenel Bridge. It is a great place for a family picnic, fishing spot, or a relaxing place to read.

The Patriots Point Nature Trail has an amazing view of the Cooper River. This dog-friendly trail is a nice walk through the woods with multiple observation towers readily available for hikers and bikers.

Kearns Park trail is also located in Mount Pleasant and is a shorter trail but has an incredible view of the Cooper River Bridge. Along this trail, one will find a former smokehouse that beautifully sits under live oaks. This trail is also dog friendly and provides many areas to sit and enjoy the harbor, bridges, and marshes.

At Francis Marion National Park one can endure a beautiful outdoor experience where one can explore nature and observe wildlife. Francis Marion is one of Charleston’s larger outdoor areas, which provides areas to hike, enjoy Lowcountry swamp wilderness, or camp.

Each trail in Charleston, South Carolina provides a one of a kind view of Charleston’s historic sites. For more information, call Handsome Properties via phone (843) 727-6460 or email [email protected]
